What is web hosting?
To have a web site accessible on the internet, you need three things.
- Web site
- Domain name and
- Hosting space
Hosting is space on a server dedicated to storing your web sites files. When web users input your domain name into the browsers address bar, the browser then points to the hosting space and locates your web files. Your web site is then displayed on the users browser.
If you don't have web hosting, your web site can not be viewed on the internet.
All TGDS web packages include a year of hosting. However, when it comes time to renew your hosting service, we can provide hosting at a competitive rate (see rates below).
